AFP Chief General Faustino, LtGen. Bacarro and 39 other senior military officers pass CA scrutiny

CONFIRMED: HAIL THE CHIEF! The Commission on Appointments (CA) gave its consent to the nomination of Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief Lieutenant General Jose C. Faustino Junior to the rank of General and approved the nominations / ad interim appointments of 40 other senior military officers in its hybrid plenary session, presided by Senate President/Chairman of the Commission Vicente C. Sotto III. Last week’s deferred deliberation on the nomination of M/Gen. Bartolome Vicente O. Bacarro was also taken up today in the hybrid defense panel presided over by its chairperson Rep. Luis “Jon-Jon” A. Ferrer IV. The Commission, likewise, gave its consent to Bacarro’s nomination to the rank of Lieutenant General with no objections raised. (CA-CTS, 09/15/21)
